SDBloggers.com is a community blog serving the digital and creative professionals of San Diego. We will feature guest posts from local Ad Agencies, Reporters, Media Professionals, Marketers, Designers, and Geeks that want a platform for local thought leadership.

We prefer rich blog content. We wouldn’t really waste your time with anything else. We also aren’t a big fan of ads, you won’t see those around here either.

As you know SDBloggers has held (ir)regular meetups over the years, and that certainly won’t change. In fact, we are looking to expand the breadth of our events and begin to offer formal trainings, in addition to socially focused networking opportunities. We think there is a big ‘know-doing’ gap in the space and we want to create a collective brain trust where best practices are formed and adopted.

Moving forward, I will make you two promises, and I’ll ask you to hold me accountable:
1. I, or we, will never waste your time. This is not a pay per word operation. We are here to entertain you. If that’s not happening—you go away; we get it. If you ever feel like we’ve wasted your time and we’re not holding true to this maxim, shoot me a reply on Twitter.
2. Second commitment, you won’t see traditional ads on the site. Why, because frankly I hate them. I think it sullies the user experience and makes the site look like a commodity. The focus is on the content, not the .00001% banner click through for the check that my hosting bill will laugh at. Not to say I won’t make money, but I promise you I will do it in creative ways that benefit the user and advertisers, and sometimes charity. Because giving back rawks.
